Ben began his career as a Management Consultant within the financial services sector at Coopers & Lybrand and then PriceWaterhouseCoopers. This experience combined with a passion for technology and a strong entrepreneurial drive, led him to create Sort, the UK’s first, authorised, online advice provider in 1998. He successfully grew Sort to become the market leader before selling to mPower (a US company providing e-enabled financial advice solutions) in 2000, where he became UK Managing Director.
In 2003, Ben co-founded Distribution Technology with the aim of supplying financial advisers with technology that would help them to provide profitable advice. Today, the company is the UK’s leading provider of front office and financial planning technology.
David Wadsworth, Delivery Director

David began his career at NatWest bank, where he joined as a graduate, specialising in project management. In 2000, he joined FISERV (Europe) as Programme Manager. By 2004, David had been appointed to the FISERV Board as EMEA Delivery Director, responsible for providing complex banking systems and solutions, including bespoke modifications, substantial integrations and customer migration projects.
Kym Gully, Chief Technology Officer

An Australian by birth, Kym was previously the Chief Technology Officer at FIS Software, a provider of package-based insurance solutions that enable life, pensions and investment companies to run their businesses more efficiently. He has a proven track record in strategic business transformation, software engineering and systems integration. He has previously worked with clients such as: AON, HSBC, AXA, Scottish Widows, UNUM, AEGON, and Diligenta.
Chris Winfield, Finance Director

Chris a seasoned finance professional. Prior to joining Distribution Technology, he held a number of roles within the Siemens Group, including: Siemens Business Services UK Financial Controller (1999 - 2001), Siemens Logistics and Assembly UK Financial Director (2001 - 2006) and Siemens IT Solutions and Services Commercial Director, Global Outsourcing Engagement (2009 - 2011).
Ges Whitmore, Non-Executive Chairman
Ges brings a strong entrepreneurial track record and business practice skills to the DT Board. In 1981, he set up Crisp Computing, whose technology then repeatedly dominated the Point of Sale category at the Financial Adviser Sales Awards. In 2000, it merged with Moneyextra.com to become Exchange FS plc and Ges was appointed as CEO. When Marlborough Stirling acquired Exchange FS in 2001, Ges held the Group Business Development Director position on the Board until he retired in 2003. Today, Ges holds non-executive positions at a number of companies.
Neil Brown, Non-Executive Director
Neil has wide ranging experience of investing and developing high growth businesses in the technology and financial services arena from start-ups to public companies. Neil was a Deloitte’s partner before joining Apax Partners, one of the world’s leading providers of private equity, where he built the financial services investment business.
