Summary:
To support our rapid growth we now have an opportunity for an experienced and skilled Solutions Consultant to provide pre-sales technical / functional support to prospective clients and to support existing customers.
The role:
- Understand client requirements and processes
- Conduct discovery sessions and requirements gathering with the Sales Executives
- Help Sales Executives qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful deals
- Lead and facilitate client workshops
- Design and present outline solutions using our software solutions to prospective customers
- Articulate product features and benefits, product direction and our software solutions through presentations and demonstrations
- Conduct and manage proof of concept/value activities
- Provide support to Sales Executives to move the sales cycle along
- Manage the implementation of proposed solutions and hand over into Delivery
- Develop and manage customers through high quality technical, professional relationships
- Assist with developing and managing reference sites through high quality technical and professional client relationships
- Act as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Executives and Solutions Consultants
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelors Degree required (technical major desirable); Masters Degree a plus
- Experience of either software development (as a developer, analyst or technical project management) or experience with successful software pre-sales support
- Experience in financial services (in life, pensions, investments or mortgages) ideal but not essential
- Proven track record of successful sales support activity
- Solid knowledge of the software sales cycle and demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, present business solutions and quantify ROI
- Experience with developing applications and the system development life cycle in a project management, consulting, pre-sales or similar role
- Ideally conversant with, and experienced in at least one, recognised sales methodology, ideally solution selling
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to gain cooperation of others, proven leadership skills
- Ability to manage and resolve solutions to complex technical issues and be customer focused
- Ability to travel throughout the UK as required, with potential for overseas travel.
- Ability to ensure software proposal meets customer business requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior level staff are required
