Distribution Technology to exploit travel industry lessons with new appointment

Distribution Technology (DT), the UK’s leading provider of financial advice software, has further strengthened its product development capability with the appointment of Alison Clark as Product Manager.

Alison joins DT from Galileo International (a subsidiary of Travelport), one of the world’s largest travel distribution networks, where she launched Galileo Desktop, its highly successful integrated point of sale application currently used by 5,000 travel agents in UK as well as overseeing the development of a tool for integrating low cost carriers into Global Distribution System airline displays. Her prior experience of software development also includes working for PA Consulting.

In her new role, reporting to Patrick FitzGerald DT’s Chief Product Officer, Alison will manage the integration of new additions to the Distribution Technology product portfolio from concept through to launch. Alison will have particular focus on DT’s point-of-sale product line.

Alison Clark said:

I’m pleased to be joining Distribution Technology at such an exciting time in its development. The company has a great name in the market place and a reputation for bringing market leading technology to the advice sector. I look forward to playing a role in its future success.

Patrick FitzGerald, Chief Product Officer of Distribution Technology added:

We are delighted to welcome Alison to the team at Distribution Technology. It is my firmly stated opinion that we in the financial advice sector can learn a lot from the integrated systems currently being deployed within the travel industry and we will be drawing on Alison’s experience and skill set to enhance our own product portfolio going forward.
