The 1st of May marked the launch of the new release of Dynamic Point of Sale (DPOS) at The May Fair Hotel in London.
We were delighted to see over 90 delegates from a wide range of companies, including existing clients and partners, consultants and representatives from most of the UK’s leading banks, life and pensions companies and national IFAs.

The private screening cinema at The May Fair Hotel was a superb venue, with the 3.8 metre high screen providing an excellent means to showcase the new DPOS application.
The new release of DPOS is a huge step forward for the industry, combining the proven financial planning technology of Dynamic Planner with extensive support for the complete advised sales process.

The morning began with DT Client Director, Paul Richardson introducing Distribution Technology and Dynamic Point of Sale. Dynamic Point of Sale is designed to transform the productivity of advised distribution whilst preserving and enhancing the quality of advice, by allowing the entire advice process to take place within a single application. Dynamic Point of Sale adds comprehensive CRM, adviser management and reporting, and integrations with leading platforms and portals to proven financial planning technology.
Ben Goss, DT CEO, began the live demonstration with the upload of a client list, the creation of a campaign targeting clients on the list, and assignment of the resulting opportunities to advisers. Ben then took one of the opportunities and went on to walk though an entire advice process from fact find through risk profiling, asset allocation, fund and product selection to the creation of a suitability letter, illustrating the efficiencies generated by not having to use a different tool for each task, and the opportunities to generate cross sales, thereby increasing productivity.
This was undoubtedly the highlight of the morning, receiving many positive comments on the direction, functionality and look and feel of the product – an excellent debut!

Next on the agenda we were very pleased to welcome the first Dynamic Point of Sale foundation customer, Mark Fleet, MD of AWD Moneyextra, to talk about his experiences of working with DT, and the expectations for DPOS.
AWD Moneyextra has recorded a 25% increase in productivity per adviser in the first year following their adoption of Dynamic Planner, and expects to see similar benefits once DPOS is in place.
Mark’s presentation was very well received indeed, with many people commenting on how useful it was to share his experiences.
Finally, many people stayed on for a coffee in the beautiful surroundings of the May Fair’s Atrium. As product manager for Dynamic Point of Sale, I was absolutely delighted at the response to the first showing of the application, and the enthusiasm of the delegates towards DPOS. I would like take this opportunity to thank all who attended for making this such an enjoyable event.
