Dynamic Point of Sale to power advice at Co-operative Financial Services

Distribution Technology Limited (DT), the UK’s leading provider of financial advice software, has reached an agreement with Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) to supply the insurance and banking group with its market-leading Dynamic Point of Sale application.

Dynamic Point of Sale (DPOS) is unique in the marketplace as the only application to support a straight-through sales process with proven financial planning technology, and will be used by over 1500 CFS advisers and 340 administrative staff – one of the largest life assurance sales forces in the country.

The solution will enable advisers to build longer term relationships with customers, supporting the complete advice lifecycle from customer acquisition and sale to ongoing customer management. High quality and professional financial plans can be produced quickly and easily, helping advisers identify and explain client needs more clearly and complete sales more productively. DPOS will be integrated into CFS’s core customer and product systems to provide a straight through process that will minimise re-keying and disjoints, maximising efficiency.

CFS conducted a lengthy and thorough evaluation of the financial software market before selecting a solution, and was most impressed by the breadth and configurability of DT’s technology and the commitment shown by the DT team. DPOS was chosen because of the application’s fit with CFS’s vision for maintaining and enhancing the quality of advice provided by its sales force.
